About the event
Julia Kelly will share the research behind her latest historical novel The Dressmakers of London. She will also discuss how British cultural icons such as well-known designers and publications like British Vogue sought to boost morale on the Homefront through fashion. Additionally, Julia will share stories of her personal family history with dressmaking, as well as her own journey learning to sew and knit.
