Thank you to everyone that contributed with any of our projects this year!! Sewing for our community has been a huge success!
Our goal of 250 drawstring bags for the troops has been reached!! Thank you all for your hard work to complete this service project. We will be mailing the bags to Operation Care Package soon. This is the non-profit organization that receives, fills, and distributes the bags to all branches of the armed forces.
Children’s clothing (any size)is always needed (currently warm clothing and
boys wear is appreciated) for the foster children project in San Mateo; as are small, simple kids quilts (45” x 45”). The quilts
do not need to be machine quilted, they can be tied. They must be washable. These are given to the Quilts for Kids organization
that distributes them to the San Jose Family Shelter and to Stanford Hospital.
Denise is contacting all the other organizations we work with to see what their needs are for 2010. Keep watching this site for updates. If you know of an organizaiton that could use some help, please contact us.

We have an ongoing need for tote bags, dimensions
10” x 13” with short handles that are sewn in kid friendly fabrics. These are used by JW House to give children to carry coloring
books/crayons to take with them to the hospital. If you have a coloring book to put in it, that would be especially nice.
Also, JW House needs more pillowcase that are made from fun, children’s fabrics. And, an ongoing request for drawstring bags or tote bags that are about 15” square. These are used for the adults to carry toiletries, etc. while they are there.
