The San Jose Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is a non profit
organization, established in 1988 and has an extremely dedicated membership of over 100 enthusiastic sewers. The group consists
of fashion, home sewers, decorators, quilters, doll cloths designers, and crafters. These dedicated members also volunteer their time
and materials to sew for disadvantage youth organizations, American Cancer Society, St Jude, Shriners and many more. Our membership
stretches from Salinas all the way up to San Francisco, promoting the American Sewing Guild’s mission statement, “Advancing sewing
as an art and life skill.”
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to expand your marketing by becoming one of our
valued advertisers. A business card size ad costs $15.00 per issue which is a very minimal cost considering the amount of store
and website business it will generate. It is also a great way to post upcoming sales, new locations, new arrivals, classes,
special discounts, etc.
“The Sewing Source,” is our newsletter, published four times a year and mailed to the membership and
advertisers, keeping our members informed of seminars, workshops, meetings, fabric runs, retreats, nonprofit organization workshops,
fabric stores, websites, and more. Newsletters are also distributed by members to local stores and other sewing enthusiasts.
The Sewing Source is also now available on our new website.
